Located in the historic Cigar Factory, The Cedar Room is a beautifully restored venue dating back to 1882. With nearly 8,000 square feet of indoor space and an additional 1,500-square-foot courtyard, the venue offers both grandeur and grace for events of all sizes. Original wood columns, hardwood floors, exposed brick, and floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping views of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge and Cooper River, filling the space with natural light and a true sense of place.

Tours

What is included in the venue rental? 

Your rental includes exclusive access to The Cedar Room and Courtyard for your event, along with time for set-up and breakdown. 

Included furnishings: 

  • Stonewash Rattan Wooden Chairs 

  • Round, rectangular, and cocktail tables 

  • Built-in bar 

  • Glassware, flatware, china, and service ware 

Additional rentals and enhancements are available upon request.  

How many guests can you accommodate for ceremonies? 

We can host up to 150–200 guests for ceremonies, depending on the layout, either indoors or in the Courtyard.  

Do you require a wedding planner or coordinator? 

Yes. We require all weddings to have a professional full-service or partial-service planner to ensure a seamless and well-managed event. Our on-site team will oversee day-of food and beverage details to ensure a smooth execution. 

What is the rain backup plan? 

With its expansive interior, The Cedar Room offers a seamless built-in rain plan, allowing any courtyard elements to transition indoors with ease, ensuring your event remains uninterrupted and beautifully executed. 

Is catering provided in-house? 

Yes. Catering and bar services are exclusively handled by our in-house culinary team.  

Can we bring in our own cake? 

Yes, you’re welcome to bring in a licensed cake vendor. A per-person cake cutting and service fee will apply. We also offer in-house pastry options.  

When can we schedule our rehearsal? 

Rehearsals are scheduled closer to your event date and are based on venue availability. Your planner will coordinate timing with our team.  

Is parking available for guests? 

Guest parking is available in the Cigar Factory lot after 5:00 p.m., as well as on surrounding streets. Valet companies can be provided for larger events. 

Are there any restrictions we should know about? 

To ensure the safety and preservation of the space, certain décor and event guidelines apply. Your planner will receive a full list of venue guidelines during the planning process.  

How do we secure our date? 

A signed contract and initial deposit are required to reserve your date. Our team will guide you through the next steps
